Artist Spotlight : Ron English

11 August. 2016

We are honoured to have “The Godfather of Street Art” Ron English’s work at the Matthew Namour Gallery. Ron English is a contemporary pop artist who explores popular brand imagery and advertising.

Some of his most recognizable & recent works include his Ronald McDonald mascot used in the 2004 film Supersize Me, his Abraham Obama character, and his Temper Tot character which he has incorporated in several murals, notably the famous New York City Bowery Wall and in NYC’s Little Italy. Ron has a prominent mural at the epicentre of murals, the Wynwood Walls district in Miami & recently made a mural version of his Temper Pac character for Art Gathering LA. True to his politically-opinionated roots, here is a delightful video about Donald Trump : http://bit.ly/2aWMDLu.
