Announcing: the grand opening of the Matthew Namour Gallery.

Located in a historical building in the heart of Old Montréal. This new gallery will continue the work that was begun in 1991 when Yves Laroche Gallery first opened its doors, breathing new life into the ongoing project.

Expanding on Yves Laroche’s long-established legacy of presenting the best of lowbrow & street art. Rooted in traditions of graffiti, tattooing, comics, pop art, illustration, and surrealism, Matthew Namour is proud to bring an eclectic selection of artists to Montreal’s most visited neighbourhood. This gallery is here to uphold the city’s position as an evolving force in the global art map.

For the gallery’s inaugural show,    Matthew Namour Gallery has invited more than 25 artists to contribute pieces that represent the vision & future of the gallery. Ranging from street artists from Berlin & Toulouse, to hyperrealist figurative painters from New York & Montreal, the roster spans the many styles & countries that the gallery is proud to be associated with.
